We are also available for clients who do not live in our area - via post and web all kind of processing is possible. 22nd April 2012 – GENERAL STRIKE IN SPAIN
The Spanish unions and similar associations had called for a nationwide strike on 29 March and planned to demonstrate against the new government and its measures by paralyzing the economy for one day with military precision. However, this action was more or less a flop for the organisers, if not a slap into the face. The relatively low participation of the population raises the question whether the employee’s associations actually represent the opinion and the mood of the people at the moment?
15th April 2012 – POOL MAINTENANCE
Our wide variety of services involves the swimming pool as well. A pool needs a constant care even in winter, so that the water remains clean and clear, the grouting do not age prematurely and the pump system keeps it functionality. Property owners in Spain already start to whip their garden into shape. But have you ever thought of repainting your house or apartment? We take over all paintwork both inside and outside the house, we paint your wooden windows or iron grills and polish your wooden garden furniture. Don’t despair, we do the repair!

Apparently there are always foreign property owners who have their houses or apartments on the Costa Blanca not managed - even if they are not in Spain the major part of the year. Certainly it calls for a lot of confidence to hand over the keys to a third party and to deliver, so to speak, the property at somebody’s mercy. 26th February 2012 – SPAIN ON THE BRINK OF DISASTER?
There is every sign of a storm brewing in the Iberian Peninsula. The economy is severely depressed, the unemployment figures are beyond the scope of anything imagined previously and economically prospects are rather bad. The measures of the new government take time to work and wide sections of the population do not even agree to the governmental “reducing diet” - unfavourable conditions for the recovery of the ailing Spanish Kingdom!
19th February 2012 – DISPOSAL OF WASTE OILS
The urbanization La Marina moves with the times: All residents are called upon to dispose their household waste oils without any further use in the specifically provided refuse containers. Although this “waste separation” is not an obligation, the environmental agency of our municipality San Fulgencio asks all citizens to make use of the new waste disposal. This allows everyone to improve the protection of our environment.
12th February 2012 – SPRING AWAKENING
Even for Spanish conditions it would be a little premature to talk about spring. Anyhow, the same one normally arrives much earlier here in Spain than in England: The sun shines steadily from a blue sky, the almond trees are in blossom and everything looks more like spring than winter. Have you already thought of escaping the bad weather for a while and spending some beautiful days over Easter in the south? Here you will find a suggestion!
5th February 2012 – HIGH-PRESSURE CLEANING OF YOUR PROPERTY
Many homeowners have a property that is easy to maintain – less garden and plenty of terrace area. However, these surfaces need care as well, whether concrete paving, natural stone covering or just conventional floor tiles. In case of an irregular or non-professional cleaning, discolorations and permanent staining may be the end of the story! 29th January 2012 – PROCESSIONARY CATERPILLAR
Due to the mild winter the authorities expect an early appearance of the caterpillar of the procession moth. This caterpillar with its stinging hairs can be dangerous for humans and even fatal for animals like dogs or cats. It has already been sighted this year, so please be careful while walking or hiking and pay particular attention to your beloved pets.

Garden owners attention please: Those who have not done it yet – it is about time to prune and thin out your citrus trees. It is also the best time now and until the end of February to trim and prune your date and Canary Island palms; the „picudo rojo“ (red palm weevil) is not very active at the moment. If you need help with your gardening we will be pleased to assist you; it’s just a call or mail!
15th January 2012 – PROLONGATION OF THE REDUCED VAT FOR NEW BUILDINGS
On 30 December 2011 the new Spanish Government adopted emergency measures against the high national debt of Spain. For this reason, the reduced Value Added Tax of 4 % for purchasing new dwellings has been extended until 31 December 2012 to boost the real estate industry. Those who plan to buy a new building in Spain within the next one to two years and do not want to miss this opportunity would be well advised to consider this state intervention.

We have repeatedly pointed out that the deadline for filing the tax return for the year 2010 is 30th December 2011. Should you need support concerning this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us confidently.
4th December 2011 – WEATHER
The weather at the Costa Blanca does not show its best side at the moment; neither it is mild and dry nor warm and sunny. The weather presents itself less Mediterranean than rather cold and rainy Nordic. Well, we do not really want to complain, it is not that cold like it probably seems to be due to our statement above. To be honest, the sun shines now and then, and for a pre-Christmas feeling the lack of snow everywhere is simply too grave anyway. We think, that nobody here in the south really misses the snow.

5th November 2011 – TAX DECLARATION FOR NON-RESIDENTS
At the end of the year the deadline for the tax return for 2010 compulsory for all non-resident EU citizens in Spain expires. Those who have not carried out or arranged for this declaration yet are encouraged to search a tax representative. Do not hesitate to contact us; we take care of this function with pleasure.
29th October 2011 – PATRON SAN FULGENCIO
We already reported about this topic in January, now the moment has arrived: The patron “Saint Fulgencio” of our municipality San Fulgencio brings us a long weekend. This year the original local holiday of 16 January coincided with a Sunday; a fact that motivated our town hall unceremoniously to postpone this day to coming Monday, 31 October. Together with the „All Saints’ Day“ on Tuesday the urbanization La Marina has 4 days off. Enjoy it!

15th October 2011 – FUN RUN
Tomorrow, Sunday 16 October 2011, the 1st Fun Run of the municipality of San Fulgencio takes place in the urbanization La Marina. The course has a distance of 10 kilometres (6.21371 miles) and starts at the "Plaza Sierra Castilla" in the centre of the urbanization. Of course, the registration period has already expired; however, from 10 a.m. interested readers and fans of running living nearby are invited to cheer and cross their fingers live on-site.
